Lately . . .

Well..havent blogged for a while seeing I dont really have the time to sit down and do it. I find tweeting quicker and easier @duncanunderwood.

So this is what ive been up too lately. October found be down at the Deni Ute Muster gig which was great apart from when it rained. Those country dudes really love their mud.

Started doing the stadium pa at Etihad which is something different. Here is a pic from the top. Dont look down. :)

Then it was off to near Tamworth for the Telstra Road to Tamworth. Like to thank Simon Stavenuiter for sending me off on this ho-down. Was great fun.

So now ive run out of time and must run. Might post something later...maybe. :)

Trilogy Tour 2009

Well the Trilogy Tour has finally come to an end and what a tour it was. Was great fun and was a pleasure to work with 3 professional bands that played with %110 passion night after night.

A big thanks goes out to the Dukes of Windsor, Trial Kennedy and those kiwi lads, Midnight Youth. Well done well done!!

The best part of the tour was being able to take out our own production which we were well looked after by Simon Stavenuiter @ Simon Stavenuiter Audio Productions. He looked after us by letting us use his brand new iLive system (T80 & T112) which worked flawlessly for the whole tour. Thanks Simon. Legend!

It was interesting to see the reaction of most venues with the whole digital concept and was embraced for the majority. I think some people are just stuck in their own ways sometimes and are scared of moving forward with the latest technology. Having the same mic kit and the desk all programmed for each show was a time saver and definately made each gig sound better compared to running with inhouse production. Each night we run 4 sends of floor wedges plus 3 sends of stereo ears and with only soundchecking the first band for 10minutes which made it incredibly easy.

Cant wait for the next one. ROCKKK!!

Miami Horror and The Dirty Secrets in Sydney.

On Tuesday I fly out to Sydney to do a show with Miami Horror which I'm looking forward too. Thanks to Dave for letting me fill in for him.

From Wednesday until Sunday I'm gigging with the fantastic guys from The Dirty Secrets. A few shows in Sydney followed with a couple in Qld. Should be a good week. Hopefully I will be feeling better by tomorrow or it will definately be an interesting week.

For more info on gigs check out.

Blog Blog

Blog blog. Well today I've been looking at wordpress vs blogspot. I still rate blogger more than wordpress but at the same time keen to install wordpress on my webserver and see what the integration is like especially with the iPhone.

Was hoping to have done a blog on the shows I did last week with the dukes down in tassie but because of lack of time and being sick I haven't yet done this. I'm thinking I might be able to get around to doing this next week when I'm up in Sydney.

Dukes in good ol Tassie. brrr

Well this week I'm down in Tas with the Dukes. Should be nice and cold. Yay! Looking forward to the gigs and hopefully be catching up with a few mates while down there. If anyone is in the area pls let me know.

We fly into Hobart on Thursday to do the Brisbane Hotel which will be an interesting one. Then Friday we head to good ol Burnie for some acoustic 101 training @ Siroccos. Looking forward to catching up with the guys from My Escapade. Their latest EP has been played a few times in the car now. Nice one guys :)

On Saturday we head to my home town of lawnceston to rock it out at Hotel New York with Nathan Wheldon & the Two Timers which I'm looking forward to smashing a mix out. And thanks to Scotty for booking a 7am flight out of there as it will be great to hear those birds chirping again. :)

Hopefully I will still be awake that nite for a Young Lovers gig at the East Brunswick supporting Grafton Primary.

Let there be coldness and rock. Wahoo!

Well it's only just past 730am and skype have finally just released their new app on the apps store. Installed and setup with no issues. The interface is clean and all my contacts came up straight away. Call quality seems to be at skypes high standard.

Received the new and improved bemix unit this morning. Didn't realized aus post start knocking on doors this early. Check out www.be-mix.com for more information.

All we need now is for apple to release iPhone firmware 3.0 and we can retire for the day.
